Lisa is passionate in her work to inspire and educate individuals on their journey of self understanding, enhanced health and connection to Nature. A journey she is always on as well.
Lisa uses the deeply healing Traditional East Asian Medicine systems of Shiatsu Bodywork, Japanese needling, moxabustion, cupping, polarity tools, diet/lifestyle education and the Chinese health and awareness practice of Qigong.
Lisa is a warm and compassionate practitioner that is committed to her work and ongoing education in Traditional East Asian Medicine (TEAM) with an interest in Anthroposophic Medicine (the work of Rudolf Steiner and Ita Wegman). Lisa has a lived experience of dealing with the challenge of chronic fatigue and the mental health challenges associated with this illness. Her healing journey brought her to Asian medicine which has enriched her life in many ways including the practice of Qigong. Lisa has been practising qigong for over 14 years and has experienced first hand the healing potential of this ancient wisdom modality and brings personal insight and inspiration to her teaching of this wonderful practice.
In 2018 Lisa developed the Elements of Living course in response to her qigong students and clinic clients wishing to journey further in their awareness and empowerment in creating good health. This course is a synthesis of exploration predominantly from Qigong, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Anthroposophy, various awareness practices and personal life experience.
Lisa was a Bodywork therapist with The Gawler Foundation healing retreat centre in the Yarra Valley until The Gawler Foundation sadly closed due to Covid-19 financial difficulties.
Lisa has a wide range of experience working in health. She began as a ward clerk at Cabrini hospital, maintained smooth operations as Receptionist at the Gawler Foundation, assisted renowned local raw food advocate and inspirational speaker Kemi Nekvapil in Kemi’s Raw Kitchen and at the Raw Beauty Retreats in Melbourne and Bali, worked in the Organic food industry for nine years whilst always having passionate respect and admiration for Traditional East Asian Medicine as a client, student and then practitioner.
Lisa also loves the art of calligraphy which she then uses to create wood carvings of beautifully carved scripts. She loves knitting, is a passionate home food grower and loves being in nature any chance she can get. She also parents an exuberant youth!
